The Department of Marketing is seeking to appoint a Professor in Marketing. We seek to secure an outstanding leader and scholar, with an international reputation for leadership in research, teaching and research training, along with a successful track record of attracting research grants and recruiting doctoral students.

The Department of Marketing is ranked as one of the top marketing departments in the UK, and is part of Lancaster University Management School (LUMS). LUMS has achieved an international reputation as an exceptional research-led management school, and has made a significant contribution to management education since its establishment over 50 years ago. LUMS is one of the few management schools whose programmes are accredited by all three international accreditation bodies (AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB). The School’s international research reputation has underpinned the successful recruitment of world-class faculty, and outstanding students from all over the world are attracted to the University’s undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience programmes. The university’s campus is located on the outskirts of the historic market town of Lancaster. The Lake District is at the University’s doorstep.

With a vibrant and collegiate environment, the Marketing department is home to one of the largest groups of Marketing academics in the UK. We currently have a reputation for world-class research in the areas of business marketing, consumer research, international marketing and market studies. We are a department committed to teaching excellence at a university that was named University of the Year in 2018 by the Times and the Sunday Times, and has been awarded Gold in the UK government’s Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). Currently ranked in the top three Marketing departments in the UK by the Complete University Guide, we pride ourselves on delivering a curriculum that is contemporary, theoretically informed and practitioner relevant.
