The UCL Estate comprises over 200 buildings valued at over £2 Billion, more than four million square feet of academic accommodation and approaching 4000 student bedrooms. The scale, variety and complexity of the estate are unparalleled in the sector. UCL Estates is responsible for managing the delivery of an Estate Strategy with an investment programme in excess of £1bn over the next ten years.

UCL Estates/Facilities & Infrastructure are currently developing future operational strategies and models with specific requirements for new Development in Stratford known as ‘UCL East’. The UCL East site is spread across 4.63 hectares and will comprise up to 180,000 m2 gross internal area (GIA) of development, including academic development and research space, student accommodation, and retail uses. The new campus is equivalent to 40% of the Bloomsbury campus.

The Facilities Manager will be a primary point of contact on FM Service Standards. The postholder will liaise and work collaboratively with F&I colleagues, Project Teams, the Environmental Sustainability/Safety team Portfolio Services office (PSO) and a wider range of customer/stakeholders, consultants and contractors involved with the respective projects.

Applicants should have extensive practical experience and relevant technical knowledge, working in a professional environment, including the management of Facilities Management/Project/operations using contractors and directly employed staff. A thorough knowledge and experience of managing Services Implementation and operations and systems in a large multi-site organisation is essential.
