£56,266 - £61,181 per annum. Appointments at Grade 9 currently qualify for an additional market supplement of £10,000 per annum (to be reviewed every 2 years)

The successful candidate will be expected to engage in world leading research in Statistical Science, and to contribute collegially to the teaching activities of the Department and to its management. Research may be in any branch(es) of statistics or applied probability.

The post is open-ended and is available from July 2019.

Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent qualification, or evidence of an equivalent level of attainment in research publications, in statistics or a closely related field. It is essential that the successful candidate has a proven ability to carry out high quality research in a branch of probability or statistics with a track record of extensive publication in high quality peer-reviewed scientific journals and invited conference contributions, wide-ranging experience of delivering lecture courses on topics relevant to the needs of the department, and excellent communication skills.

UCL operates a Relocation Scheme for newly appointed academic staff who relocate their home to take up their appointment. This includes a relocation supplement of £10,000. The department will also provide a start-up fund of £6,000, available for the duration of the probation period.
