Chair in International Commercial Contract Management

Are you a thought-leader in the field of international commercial contract management? Do you have high level leadership experience and extensive connections with business and government? Are you a committed to working collaboratively and supportively with colleagues in the School of Law and the Management Division of the Leeds University Business School in the development of a new centre in the area of international contract management, developing high-quality educational provision and an exceptional student experience? Are you an experienced leader looking for a challenging senior leadership position?

We are looking to appoint a fractional Professor (up to 50% FTE) in the field of international contract management. The core purpose of the role will be to provide leadership in the development of the field of international contract management at the University of Leeds in research, teaching and external engagement. You will work collaboratively with colleagues in the School of Law and the Management Division to further develop a collaboration between the two areas. You will be an acknowledged global thought-leader in the field and will have the credibility to drive the development of the Centre in all its aspects and in particular develop new educational programmes. Evidence of engagement with people at the highest levels of government, business and academia is essential for the role and you will also have a track record of transformative leadership in the field. You will be expected to have experience of conducting and leading projects in academia or a commercial setting, and to have a strong international network. Evidence of an ability to work collaboratively with people from different academic and professional backgrounds is also essential.

More generally, you will be expected to enhance the School’s and University’s reputation in teaching and external engagement, working with colleagues to build our international profile and standing. This appointment to a major role in a dynamic and growing School of Law offers considerable potential for personal initiative and fulfilment.
