You will join us at an exciting time as we invest in five new posts in computer science: three at Lecturer level and two Professorial posts.

Joining our friendly and vibrant Vision, Learning and Control Research Group which comprises of around 50 researchers; you will have the opportunity to collaborate with an established group in machine learning including around 20 researchers working on the theory and application of Deep Learning. In addition, there are opportunities for collaboration with the local University Hospital and/or National Oceanography Centre.

To be successful, you will have a PhD in Electronics or Computer Science, and able to demonstrate delivery of teaching in a manner that meaningfully engages students along with a sustained track record of innovative research in any area of Computer Vision and have the ambition to build a strong research team with the support of the School.

The post will be held in the School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) at the University of Southampton.
