Professorship of Economics

The Board of Electors to the Professorship of Economics invite applications for this position from persons whose work falls within the general field of the Professorship to take up appointment on 1 October 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Candidates will have an outstanding research record of international stature in economics, and the vision, leadership, experience and enthusiasm to act as Chair of the Faculty Board of Economics for an initial five year period (with possibility of renewal). Serving as Chair of the Faculty Board will involve building on the current strengths of the Faculty of Economics to maintain and develop its leading international research presence. Candidates will also be able to manage and interact with staff and students at all levels, and to contribute to the strategic development of the Faculty.

Standard professorial duties include teaching and research, examining, supervision, and administration. The Professor will be based in central Cambridge. A competitive salary will be offered.
