Centre for Criminology, Faculty of Law in association with Green Templeton College, Oxford

The Faculty of Law and Green Templeton College invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the post of Associate Professor in Criminology in the Centre for Criminology, Faculty of Law, Oxford. The person appointed will be expected to engage in advanced study and research in a substantive area of criminology and to give high-quality seminars, classes, supervision, lectures, and tutorials, at both undergraduate and graduate level. In particular, the postholder will be responsible for delivering instruction in quantitative research methods at the Centre for Criminology and in the wider Law faculty and to supervise post-graduate students using quantitative methodologies in their dissertations.

Applicants must hold a doctorate in a relevant social science subject, have relevant teaching experience, be able to develop course materials and research proposals, have a research and publishing record of international standing, and have the potential to secure external research funding. Associate professors who are awarded the title of full professor may receive from the University an additional salary payment of 2,754 p.a.
