Applications are invited for the post of Associate Professor in Industrial Economics or Chair in Industrial Economics (one post available) based in the Industrial Economics Division of Nottingham University Business School. We will consider an appointment at either Associate or full Professor level. Please apply for the post you wish to be considered for.

Associate Professor in Industrial Economics

£50618 - £60410 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The person appointed will be expected to engage in high quality research and to contribute to teaching on the range of programmes offered by the School at undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA levels. They will also be required to make an appropriate contribution to administration.

Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant area, together with significant teaching experience in relevant subjects at HE level. They should have excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to teach at undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA levels in relevant subjects across Industrial Economics.A sustained track record of high quality publications in any area of Industrial Economics and the ability to produce high quality research in a relevant area is also required. Candidates should have the ability to develop their own research area, the flexibility to collaborate with colleagues and the ability to work well in a team.

Chair in Industrial Economics

Salary will be within the Professorial range, minimum £60,410 per annum

The person appointed will be expected to provide leadership in research, teaching, knowledge transfer and administration. They will also engage in high quality research and contribute to teaching on the range of programmes offered by the School at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant discipline and established experience in a senior research capacity, together with a sustained track record of international quality publications in any area of Industrial Economics, undertaking major research projects in a relevant area and successful supervision of postgraduate students. They should also have the ability to deliver a variety of modules at undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA levels in relevant subjects across Industrial Economics.
