The School of Management invites applications for a post at the level of Lecturer (Assistant Professor) or Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Finance at the University of Bath, to join our expanding research and teaching group.

The School of Management is a vibrant and productive community and is ranked among the top UK Business Schools. It was ranked 8th in the UK for Business and Management Studies, including 6th in the UK for world class and internationally-leading publications, in the results of the 2014 Research Excellence Framework. It was ranked 2nd for Accounting and Finance (The Times and The Sunday Times 2018) and 3rd for Accounting and Finance (The Complete University Guide 2019).

A successful applicant will be expected to be included in the School’s REF2021 submission with at least two papers for the submission already published in an ABS level 3 journal at the time of application, or a single 4 or 4*, plus a credible research pipeline. Papers accepted for publication will also be counted during short-listing if proof of acceptance is provided. Candidates wishing to be considered for a Senior Lectureship should state this on their applications and should have greater teaching experience and a longer career-list of papers, with at least two papers for the REF2021 at 4 or 4* level in finance as listed in the ABS journal rankings.

Bath is located only 100 miles west of London and is easily accessible by air, road and rail. The University of Bath is situated on a hill, surrounded by attractive countryside, overlooking the City of Bath, a UNESCO-designated World Heritage City, famous for its Georgian architecture and Roman Baths. The University campus is safe and friendly, with excellent sports facilities.

This is a full-time post with start date by agreement from September 2018 onwards.
