A competitive salary package is available for an outstanding candidate

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at UEA is seeking to appoint a new Chair/Professor of Area Studies to provide academic leadership in this interdisciplinary field ensuring an integrated development of research, looking towards REF2021 and beyond.

An outstanding researcher with a strong track record of research funding and international standard publications, the post holder will lead on the consolidation and enhancement of existing cross-disciplinary working in Area Studies across Schools and other relevant units, and to engage fully with the strategic development of the Faculty.

Additionally the role holder will contribute to the development, management and delivery of teaching in the broad context of Area Studies and will be expected to participate in professional bodies and networks.

This new post is available from 1 January 2018 on a full-time, indefinite basis.
