The Chair in Sports Business will join the School┐s Centre for Sports Business, delivering specialist postgraduate and executive programmes. The appointee will provide academic leadership through making an outstanding scholarly contribution to research in Sports and through mentoring and developing academic colleagues. The Chair will teach on undergraduate, postgraduate and executive programmes, undertake curriculum development, and help shape the development of research and teaching within the Centre and across the School.

Publishing in world-class journals, with a track record in Impact, the appointee will be recognised internationally as a leader in the field of Sports research. The ability to provide outstanding research and education leadership, and to develop colleagues, alongside a strong network of contacts in the international academic community, are key requirements of the role.

Salary will be internationally competitive, commensurate with the appointee┐s potential.

Formal interviews will be held at the University on 28 June 2017, with short-listed candidates being invited to give a presentation to the School and meet academic colleagues the day before.
