Cardiff’s two new Fellows of the Royal Society have spoken about the science behind their prestigious awards.

Professor Hywel Thomas, School of Engineering, and Professor John Aggleton, School of Psychology, were both elected Fellows in April 2012. Fellowship of the Society is widely regarded in the UK as second only to a Nobel Prize in prestige.

Here, Professor Thomas, also University Pro Vice-Chancellor, Engagement and International, explains his pioneering work on geo-environmental engineering processes.

Meanwhile, Professor Aggleton, explains how his work has transformed our understanding of the memory’s location in the brain.
