Golden year for Nottingham at higher education marketing awards

The University of Nottingham’s and Marketing team has been named ‘the best in UK higher education’.

From a strong shortlist of 15 UK universities and colleges, Nottingham took the top prize at the prestigious Heist Awards 2012 – which celebrate the best work in the sector.

Nottingham’s winning entry took in the full range of activity including prospectuses, digital engagement, , web and recruitment.

The judges remarked: “The scale of achievement in 18 months is astounding.”

As well as picking up the gold award for ‘Team of the Year’, the University also won gold for ‘Best Website’, chosen by the judges from a shortlist of ten for its ‘BBC quality’ look and useability.

Nottingham won silver in two further categories – for both its Undergraduate and Postgraduate Prospectuses – and a bronze award for Best Use of Digital Marketing, for innovative work on the University’s Advent Calendar 2011.

The University’s Life Cycle project was Highly Commended in the category of ‘Best Alumni or Fundraising Campaign’.

The Heist Awards, now in their 22nd year, are regarded as the premier Awards programme for marketing in the sector.
